WIP Courtesy of Aunt Judy!

So here's a sneak peek at the quilt/comforter my aunt is working on for Q's room. I love all the fabrics! Some are Japanese and some are vintage. I so cannot wait to see how it turns out!

Now I need to find a backing, and I need your suggestions! I need to either find a king sheet or 6 yards of fabric. Would solid pink look better? Red polka dots on white? I found a flat sheet on, but they don't have the kind size. Booo! Any suggestions, all you seamstresses out there???

Also had to share this pic I snapped this afternoon. Ryan was reading Q a book on fairies. Then they proceeded to go on a fairy hunt around her room.

Hope you had a great weekend, all!

pottery barn has a king red polka dot sheet, but it comes in a set...maybe on ebay you could find it separate?

I also like the idea of a red gingham...

I would actually go with a solid color because the front is going to be pretty busy. Plain white quilter's muslin is easy to come by, or you can just google up quilt backing fabric (which is wide enough to work) in pink or red or whatever.

Sheets are hard to quilt, they're so tightly woven. Pink sounds good! Why not look for a nice pink backing?

I'm with Pamkitty... sheets are hard to quilt. A solid pink backing would give it sort of a 30's-40's look, which would be pretty.
