So this is my 200th post AND I received my 200th heart on Etsy today as well! So it’s double giveaway time in Girl Land!!! Whoooooo Hoooooo! The donor of my 200th heart is Kerri of Maya Elise Boutique. I just happened to find her shop this morning and LOOK at this doll!
Of course, I had to snatch her up for Q’s room. She will complement it perfectly. I also picked up these booties for Vivi.
Anywho, Kerri gets a Girl Land Certificate—good for some GL merchandise. BUT, my bloggy blog giveaway will consist of some Girl Land items, some vintage items, oh, and some custom return address labels! Gonna try to stay spring-related to get the spring mojo flowing. C’MON SPRING!!!
So, same as before, but a little different. Leave me a comment with your favorite spring tradition, memory, picture, craft, song, recipe (or link thereto) or just say hello! I'm not picky. I will draw a name at random this Thursday, March 20 at approximately 7:48 EST (exactly when spring begins!!!). AND if you link to my contest in your blog, you will get two additional entries—just be sure to leave me your blog addy!
I know I cheated a bit (3 posts in one day??), but you don't mind, do you?? Comment away! xo

Our favorite spring tradition is BBQ in the backyard every Sunday after the flea. Mmmmmmmm, come back sun!
Congrats on 200 posts! You have a great blog that I always enjoy.
I guess our favorite spring tradition is the start of baseball/softball season for my kids. We have four kids - three boys, one girl. They each started playing ball around the age of 5. So, from late March thru early June, we pretty much live at the ballpark. This year our oldest will not be playing, but, doing some umpiring instead. That still leaves us with three kids playing on three different teams. It can be pretty hectic. At times, I'll be on one field watching one child, while my husband is over at another field at a different game. It's a lot of fun! And, of course there's the corn dogs and fried cheese sticks, LOL! Gotta love that. Happy spring!
My favorite tradition as crazy as this sounds is spring cleaning. I go through the house top to bottom and clean out the clutter and donate all the things that we no longer want/need. I also love going through my fabric and refold it and such. I always find a print I forgot and get reinspired all over again by it!
(I will be posting about your giveaway on my blog today)
My favoritie spring tradition is getting out into the yard and cleaning up all of winter's unwanted leftovers, hanging windchimes, bringing out planters and filling them with flowers, bringing out the patio furniture and beautifying our yard for the warm months ahead. Not only does this bring hope to the landscape, but to my heart, as well. New beginnings...there's nothing like them!!
Now come on, Sarah!! I need some Girl Land inspiration in my life........so PICK ME!! I promise to link to you at agedessence!
When I was little, in the spring, I used to plant popsicles with my dad. We would break up the sticks of old ones, and plant them in the garden. Every day, my dad would poke them through the ground to make them grow (much to my unknowing) and then when the sticks were full grown, there would be a day when I would wake up and he would say, "The popsicles are ripe!" and we'd go outside and there they'd be, sticking out of the ground and in every color. Then we'd have popsicles for breakfast.
The only downfall was when I told my little friends to plant popsicle sticks and grow them and they would (without telling their parents of course) and then they thought I was crazy.
Thanks for posting the doodle girl doll and the booties! I'll have to add a post on my blog about my winning the 200th heart! I can't wait to show the vintage onsie I won!
What I love about spring- definately the smell of spring! The smell of the rain, the cherry blossom tree and fresh cut grass! After living in Arizona for awhile I missed that so much being origanilly from Washington State!
You don't have to add my name in the contest though since I already won one! :)
One of my favorite things to do when spring comes is to pull out my old cassette tape of "Catching Up with Depeche Mode", and listen to it. Every time I hear that album it makes me think of spring, and going to see them at Poplar Creek Music Theatre in suburban Chicago (with fellow Make-out Goods partner Val). I think we locked our keys in the car, and had to hang out in the parking lot till like 2:00 in the morning to get someone to open the car for us (we were all 16 at the time, remember that, Val???). Good times...
Wow congrats on the 200's isn't great we can assoiciate outrages numbers with better things than age. (I'm creeping up on 30 and trying not to cry everytime I think of it.) Thanks for posting. I don't always comment but I always stop by to read.
How can it be that i don't have a spring tradition? I'm going to have to work on that. I'll *totally* write about your giveaway for two extra entries: www.sweetjessie.com
And many, many congratulations on 200 posts! xo
spring...hmm. going shopping for new warmer weather clothes, cooking lighter meals, going to the park & for walks outside. all that stuff is good. hope i win your wonderful goodies!
Hey Sarah, In our neck of the woods Spring means hayfever. Ugh! So, a trip to the allergist is a March tradition for Josie and Mama. Sometime around April there's the "changing of the clothes" from Winter into Spring wardrobes! Can't wait to see who wins...Sure hope it's me!
My favorite springtime thing is the return of the robins. I posted a cute little video on my blog.
Those little booties are too cute!
I will definitely post a link to your page in my next post!
Found you out from Sweet Jessie. Love your stuff too!
Rita
Congrats on 200 posts! I just discovered your blog and I think it's lovely. I'll definitely be back soon.
I have so many springtime traditions that it's hard to choose just one favorite! I'll limit it to two. The first is opening up all of the windows, letting the stale winter air out and the fresh springtime air in. I also love pulling on wellingtons and a raincoat, then taking a rainy-day walk with my husband and dog. Ah, I love spring.
I'll definitely give your contest a shout out on my blog! http://onepearlbutton.blogspot.com
silly, but what I associate spring with is new shoes. My step mom used to take me out and by me new spring sandal's every year.
Will post the link from my blog this evening
my favorite spring tradition is dying easter eggs and then hunting for them. our elder family friend, nick named Weese, would do this with us every year. it became a beloved family tradition!
Well, the Spring equinox happens to be my husband's and my anniversary. Not of our marriage, but the day we got together. We used to have a nice dinner, but now with 2 kids, it's usually pizza and a video and handmade cards! I don't mind, though. I am having my own giveaway to mark the occasion, so keep watch on my blog! I'll mention yours as well...Congrats, by the way!
I just read about your giveaway on Heather Hales's blog. Had to pop in & enter! Happy first day of spring :)

My favorite part of Spring is the smell of lilacs and hyacinth. I love going out and pulling off all of the leaves and junk from the flower beds to see which perennials have made it through the winter and are starting to peek through.
One of my best spring memories is playing outdoors and smelling all the blossoms on the orange trees and the way it smells when we had a spring rain on the warm pavement.
OOPs! forgot to leave my blog site.

Hiya! I read about your giveaway on SweetJessie's blog.
I think my favorite Spring tradition is cleaning up the yard. I love to rake away the leaves of Winter, and help the little bits of green sprouting up to get more sun. I like to get my hands dirty and plant some herbs and transplant last year's perennials.
Congrats on your 200th post! I look forward to reading more about you. :)
xoxo
