We Waited for This, Martha?

I will have to admit that when Martha hit Michael's, I was impressed. I was happy that she didn't disappoint us. Her things are a tad expensive, and she doesn't let us use our Michael's coupon on her items, but that's Martha's prerogative. She's Martha, for Chrissake!

But imagine my excitement when I received Macy's new store flyer with the new Martha swag! Well, excited until I really took a hard look at it. Uninspired poopy! We've seen all this boring stuff time and time again. Martha need to either find some new idea people, or she needs to start doing something to get inspired herself. Base jumping? Snake charming? Community service (just kidding)? Well, let me ask what YOU think. Am I being too harsh? The only thing that even caught my eye was the aqua/red color combo on the back page because I'm obviously a sucka for that.

Speaking of lovely color combos, check out this pretty pink sunset taken from our backyard the other night!

Summer's finally over. It's dead to me now. I'm moving on to better seasons-- my favorite, FALL! And some fallish, Halloweeny projects! Hmmmmm...

She has been talking about this stuff non stop on her show this week too. Yesterday they spent like 30 minutes at Macy's on the darn show!

I think it is the same stuff over again also. Might as well be the KMart stuff if you ask me.

(However, her "new" halloween mag is the same way. Same stuff over again, don't waste the $7.)

I haven't seen the flyer yet, but I must say, the "community service" comment almost made me choke on my granola bar. hehe, I'm awake now.

I'm here from Fresh Vintage too, read several of your last entries and love the blog, you have a wonderful sense of humor. Added you to my feed, I just became a loyal follower!

Martha is in Every store I go into. I must say though I do like the Michaels Goodies. I was in Macys last week and did look at her goodies there too. I thought they were great but typically Martha. Love your Halloween Goodies your working on.

Came over from Fresh Vintage, to late for the give away, but I love that you are doing it to insprire new readers to stay and comment. I have been looking for a way to do that as I am new-ish to blogging and only have a few faithful readers and only one that comments regularly.

Martha is Martha she has been stuck in a rut for a long time. All though her Michaels stuff is nice, I haven't been thrilled with anything from her for a long time.

Thanks for the blog, your funny and crafty! Things that inspire others.

Hi! I discovered your blog via Dolly! I love your blog and will have to come back for more visits. Yes, I think Martha could have come up with some better colors for her collections. Even though they are soothing and fresh, it is ordinary.

Have a great day!

Yeah, I totally think the Macy's stuff is boring and only looks good because of the way it is displayed. I like the crafts stuff though. Hi! I am Krissy from PonyBoy Press
